Birkenstock 250

A series of three films and accompanying images to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Birkenstock. We were commissioned to create a three part mini series of films documenting the creation of a limited run of footwear, starting with the harvesting of 250 year old cork trees to make the footbeds, travelling to Germany to document the creation of handmade leather in a 250 year old tannery and finishing with the creation of 250 pairs of Kyoto sandals.
