Db in Hossegor
I was invited to a week in Hossegor, SW France for Db’s Creative Exchange residential - a lovely bringing together of people in the Db brand universe, from photographers and film makers to their amazing product designers and marketing team.
The Db team are a lovely and very impressive bunch who really feel like a family and the vibes were high all week, despite the crippling heatwave which had us all hiding from the sun most of the days. Early morning surfs out front where with Kepa Acero leading the charge and portrait sessions with the brand ambassadors were highlights for me.

I was there with Matt from Looking Sideways and our old friend Ben Mondy, which meant a lot of laughs and as much surfing as we could cram in between meetings and other sessions planned by Jon and the Db crew.

Even under the tarmac melting heat it was wonderful to go back to this part of the world, where I had lived for several years and visited often in my youth. The beaches and forests of the region are such a huge part of any European surfer and I hadn’t been back for several years.
